To customize the backup file name, go to the Backup Job Settings and navigate to Compression Settings. There, you can select the option to customize the backup file name.

If this setting doesnā€™t fully meet your needs, please provide additional details, and weā€™ll consider incorporating your suggestions into future releases.

Hi Oleg thanks for your reply. After checking this, I only want to backup the 1 database 2x per day and I donā€™t want or need to have them in a zip file. Iā€™m hopeful that it can be done also for single output files too instead of only zip files.
Usage: small gaming server with a few friends, sometimes we get griefers who alter in-game data that we need to rollback or sometimes a glitch wipes data so we like to have a regular and frequent backup. Our server auto restarts every 6 hours (4x/day) so I keep a backup 5 min before the evening/morning server restarts. I tried SqlBak and it seems that sqlbackupandftp is more suitable for our needs. Thank you!

Yes, you can achieve this by navigating to the ā€œCompress Backupsā€ and setting the ā€œCompression Levelā€ to ā€œNoneā€. This will store the backup file without any compression.
