Unable to install SQl backup and FTP on windows 10 LTSB

Getting this error on a Windows 10 LTSB machine. Is there any workaround it or has anyone come across this error? Also not able to use the latest version due to .net framework version not supported.

Had to use an older version of SQl backup which was version 11 but ended up with this error.

To resolve this, please create a bucket in an Amazon region supported by the older versions of SQLBackupAndFTP.

It appears that you’re using the Free version of the app, which does not support backups to Amazon S3 as a destination. To enable Amazon S3 backups, please consider upgrading to a paid plan.

No we are not using free versions, we have licences that we have purchased for them. With the licenced machines, it is still giving us the same error.

Good Day Oleg

I have installed the latest version which is 12.7.27 and we are getting the .net framework version issue. Is there any other solution or by pass to this, without upgrading the windows operating system.
Operating system currently is Windows 10 Enterprise 2015 LTSB

You can try downloading one of the earlier versions of SQLBackupAndFTP from our Download Page, which supports .NET Framework 4.6.0 or 4.0.0.

We are still having an issue and if you could please check the threads above it has been continuing for some time. Firstly all stores that we are adding on to SQL Backup are licenced.
If we install versions that support .net framework versions 4.6 and lower, we then get an error on Amazon for region compatability issues ( again on the threads above). I have reguested for assistance on it as well. Also getting those version that support framework 4.6 and earlier and not supported by you guys.

  1. Can we please get support on Windows 10LTSB version and what is the work around the .net framework issue.
  2. If we need to install earlier versions of SQL backup, what is the regions that we need to setup in Amazon as we are from South Africa.

  1. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide full support for installing the latest .NET versions on Windows 10 LTSB, as this falls outside our scope.

  2. If you need to install an earlier version of SQLBackupAndFTP, you should configure your Amazon S3 bucket in one of the following compatible regions:

  • us-east-1 (N. Virginia)
  • eu-west-1 (Ireland)
  • us-west-1 (N. California)
  • ap-southeast-1 (Singapore)
  • ap-northeast-1 (Tokyo)
  • us-west-2 (Oregon)
  • sa-east-1 (São Paulo)
  • ap-southeast-2 (Sydney)
  • ap-northeast-2 (Seoul)
  • ca-central-1 (Canada Central)
