Service offline and email issue

Hi -

We are running SQLBackupAndFTP version 12.2.9 pro on one server.

Last week on 8/19, 8/21, 8/22 and 8/23 our backup process failed while sending files to Amazon S3, but no emails were sent indicating there was a failure. The process was successful on 8/20, and after 8/24, and we received success emails on 8/20 and 8/24 forward.

Yesterday we received 4 pairs of emails indicating the server was offline, then back online 4 times. The times when it was on and off appear contiguous: receives no communication from VTSQL from 8/30/2020 3:20:57 AM till 8/30/2020 4:07:03 AM. receives no communication from VTSQL from 8/30/2020 4:07:03 AM till 8/30/2020 4:30:57 AM. receives no communication from VTSQL from 8/30/2020 4:30:57 AM till 8/30/2020 5:50:57 AM. receives no communication from VTSQL from 8/30/2020 5:56:19 AM till 8/30/2020 6:22:03 AM.
This means that the computer was offline, restarting or SQLBackupAndFTP service running on this computer was stopped or uninstalled.

We restarted the services and only then did we receive emails reporting the backup failures last week on the four dates listed above.

Our server was up and running during the times reported in the server offline emails, so it must have been an issue with the SQLBackup services themselves.

We are concerned that we received no alerts about the failed emails, and do not understand what the issue is with the service on and offline yesterday.

Any advice?

Could you please let us know have you upgraded to the latest release? If yes, could you please contact our support team directly and provide the email address to which the emails were sent with the delay?
