Google Drive - folder not found

Hello Support Team,

I am encountering an issue after upgrading to the latest version (12.7.27) of SQLBackupAndFTP. The error message I receive is as follows:

11/3/2024 8:06:39 PM [Error] Destination error: Folder not found: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

This problem didn’t occur with the previous version, and it started right after the upgrade. It seems to be related to the specified folder in Google Drive, although the folder URL has been set correctly.

Additionally, as a troubleshooting step, I created a completely new folder path in Google Drive (following the suggested format /sql/backup and ensuring the folder didn’t previously exist in Drive). Despite this, I am still encountering the same issue where the application fails to find the folder.

It seems that specifying the folder path in this way is not being recognized by SQLBackupAndFTP. Could there be an issue with how the application is interpreting Google Drive paths in this latest version?

Thank you for your assistance.

Best regards,
Ali Ismayilov

I found the solution to the issue I was experiencing. Initially, I was entering the full Google Drive URL in the destination field, like https://drive.google.com/.... However, it turns out that instead of the URL, I simply needed to enter the folder path directly in a format like backup/sql.

This resolved the problem, and now backups are working correctly. Hopefully, this helps anyone else who encounters a similar issue!

Hello,

Thank you for sharing your experience.

Entering the folder path directly is indeed the correct approach. For more details on integrating SQLBackupAndFTP with Google Drive, please feel free to check our guide here: Update of SQLBackupAndFTP Integration with Google Drive.
