Unable to select SQL database for restore

Hi, For a few weeks I’ve been backing up a live database each night and restoring it to a test database. All has been running fine. for the last 6 nights it has failed.
It can’t find the test database. If I try to add it, I only see the live database on the “select database to restore” dropdown list. If I test the connection that is fine. Both databases are in the same SQL instance.
Any ideas how to reactivate the database browse function to select the test databse?
Thanks
Pete

Hello Pete,

Could you please provide us with more details about the issue you faced? Please provide us with a screenshot of the problem.

Also, you can find more details about how to restore at How to Restore SQL Server Backups | SQLBackupAndFTP's blog.

Thank you, and sorry for the inconvenience.

Hi Alexander,
I rebooted the server and tried again, the cog icon was back to select the database to restore to.
Not sure why this setting had unset itself, but it’s run ok for a week now.
Thanks for the software, really helpful as I lack the SQL skills to get this to work within SQL’s SMS.
Regards
Pete
