I would like to use your program from my SQL Server 2008 64bit operating system but get the following error.

“The requested name is valid but no data of the requested type was found” when “Test FTP Connection”.

Once the resolved option is sorted I would like to purchase the Professional version. I know that my credentials are all correct as your program is running on my laptop without a problem. Please help.

Solution

As with the rest of FTP problems - it is hard to tell. However, the possible solutions would be to

  1. Try using the IP instead of the domain name in the FTP host address
  2. Set network settings to “use NETBIOS over TCPIP”
  3. Use any other FTP server
  4. Try to use another protocol
