I am trying to back up an SQL express server 2008 r2. I can connect to the server just fine but get errors on the full back up. Event log below with miner redactions.

Could you please clarify, are you able to perform a backup manually via SQL Server Management Studio?
It seems you backup Remote SQL Server databases, please make sure you have selected “Remote SQL Server” at the “Server Type” section.
As this is an express version of SQL server i have not yet tried but I will set for remote and see what happens. Thank you!
