Technical Question on Backup Process Details

Hi all,
I have a technical detail question about when I run a backup process, such as a Full or Diff backup.
If I have a Diff backup start at 9:30am and it takes 15 minutes to complete, is my data backed up through 9:30am, or through 9:45am? That is, do the changes to the database between 9:30am and 9:45am get backed up in the Diff that starts at 9:30, or will those changes only be reflected in the next backup that takes place?

Hi Tim_Haslett,

The timestamp of the changes captured will correspond to the log entry [Info] Backing up “PRO3362” with “Differential” backup type. In your case, this will be closer to the start time of 9:30 AM. Any changes that occur during the backup process and when loading to the destination will be captured only in the subsequent backup.
