Restore removes replication publication

I am backing up from a remote location to a OneDrive, then using restore to bring the db to my server (it was done this way due to security concerns as the remote location doesn’t have a fixed IP address that can be white listed). That database has a replication publication to Azure. When the restore runs it removes the publication.

Is there a workaround for this or can restore run a script to re-create the publication?
