Email settings edit are not keeped

Hi All,

I’m been using SQLBackupAndFTP 11.7.3 free since march 2018 without troubles.
Last week I needed to change completely e-mail settings, different recipients, domains, password etc…
When I click on “Send Test e-mal” button everything goes fine and I receive the test messagge to the new mailbox, subsequently when backup job starts at the end it tries to send e-mail to the old mailbox.

I have tried to:

  1. change from Custom to Gmail and back to Custon provider
  2. restart SQLBAckupAndFTP service
  3. Disable and enbale back Send Notifications

Can anyone give me some help?

This is known issue and it will be fixed in the next release.

Is there any workaround to bypass the problem?
I mean, uninstalling and reinstalling the software may solve this issue?

Hi Roberto,

Yes, there is the following workaround:

  1. Make settings you need and press “Send Test e-mail” to make sure that everything works.
  2. Then save your settings by clicking “Save & Close” and close the application.
  3. Now, please change something in either “On success email to” or in “On failure email to” before close or reload the job.
