Database is locked

I have just installed SQLBackupAndFTP on a Windows Server 2012 Server with SQL Server Express 2016, and I’m trying to perform my first full backup of one database.

The backup fails with a message box that says “database is locked”. It produces a .zip file with a .bak file in it, but the file size is much to small to be a full backup of this database. Performing a backup of the database in SQL Server Management Studio works fine.

Any clues on how I can get it to work? Is there a setting somewhere?

  1. Could you please make sure that you use the latest release - SQLBackupAndFTP version 11.7.2. You can download it at https://sqlbackupandftp.com/download
