Changing Local/Network Folder/NAS folder

Hi,

SQLBackupAndFTP: 12.7.18 Professional

My current folder is C:\SQLBackupAndFTP~FTC. I am running low on disk space and want to change the folder to a dedicated volume e.g. B:\SQLBackupAndFTP~FTC.

However, I would like to keep the existing backups and make them accessible SQLBacjupAndFTP in the new folder.

What steps should I take to allow this to happen?

Thanks
Clive

Hello Clive,

Could you please clarify your question? If you need to change your destination folder, you can do so in your destination settings. Additionally, you can move the backups to your new destination folder, and the old backups should be removed automatically.

Please let us know if you have any other questions.

Thank you for using SQLBackupAndFTP.

Hi Alexander,

I have changed my destination folder and new backups are now being created as you might expect.

I then moved the existing / old backups to the new folder as you have explained.

I was concerned that once the old backups had been moved I would not be able to access / restore them. However, I see this is not the case. I am able to do these tasks.

Thank-you
Clive
