Back upload to one drive failing because hash doesn't match

Backups keep failing with this error:
30/3/2022 11:55:42 pm [Error] Destination error: Destination file “xxxxxxxxxxx.zip” (Hash “FdmQ8xHEB6ozNJe8PmdAyT22Nzs=”) is not equal to local one’s “xxxxxxxxxxx.zip” (Hash “VympebvpAoT/tLsZUYydqO5qryM=”).

There are 2 databases being backed up and one folder. Last time one of the databases failed to upload to onedrive so I did it manually. Next day, that database is the only successful upload and the other 2 items failed.

What does this error mean and how to fix?

Thank you in advance.

Hi market_xaniotakis,

We have checked the issue and found out that the application has detected that the hash of the downloaded file does not match the hash of the local file. This is usually the result of temporary network issues. Could you please contact your network administrator to check the issue?

If you have any other questions, please let us know.

Thank you and sorry for the inconvenience.

Could you please be a bit more specific than “temporary network issues”? Point me towards something?
“Temporary network issues” doesn’t really mean anything.
Thanks

Hi market_xaniotakis,

SQLBackupAndFTP compares the checksum of the downloaded file and the checksum of the local file. If it does not match we generate an error message. As a rule, the issue happens due to network issues. Sorry, but we are unable to provide any additional information.

Also, this may not be a network issue, but also a destination issue or a local disk issue - due to which the hash from the disk was not calculated correctly.

If there is anything else we can help you with, please let us know.

Thank you!
