AWS RDS MYSQL Restore Issues

Hello,

I have attempted to make a backup from AWS RDS and appeared to have successfully created a number of backups. Restoring to AWS RDS however is proving to cause some issues. For one, RDS does not allow restoring dumps that contain procedures, functions etc. due to lack of SUPER user access. The backup appears to create a DEFINE=`` area that is not allowed.

Is there a way to apply a -force flag during restore to ignore the errors caused by lack of SUPER user access and continue with the restore steps? I can restore my procedures manually afterwards so the error requiring SUPER is not really necessary for me.

Alternatively, has anyone found an effective alternative to resolve restoring a sql dump without the need for SUPER user access for things like procedures / functions?

Editing the dump file manually is not ideal as my backups are fairly large.

Thanks
