Hi Harlund_Industries_L,

Could you please try to install the latest release of .NET Framework https://dotnet.microsoft.com/download/dotnet-framework/net472 and check if it resolves the issue?

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Installing .NET 4.7.2 did not resolve the issue.

Hi Harlund_Industries_L,

Thank you for your reply. Please give us some time to check the issue.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Backups have been successful since Nov 15. No other changes to the environment that I can see have been introduced.

Hi Harlund_Industries_L,

Good news! Thank you for your reply.

Please feel free to contact us on any issues or concerns.

The backup failed again on 11/23/19. Same error. I uploaded the log to developers
• 9:12:43 PM : ERROR: Destination error: This request operation sent to net.pipe://localhost/pranasnet/net/sbf/Trace/Net.pranasnet.sbf.Trace did not receive a reply within the configured timeout (00:03:00). The time allotted to this operation may have been a portion of a longer timeout. This may be because the service is still processing the operation or because the service was unable to send a reply message. Please consider increasing the operation timeout (by casting the channel/proxy to IContextChannel and setting the OperationTimeout property) and ensure that the service is able to connect to the client.

Hello Harlund_Industries_L,

Thank you for your log, we have checked it.

Could you please save the Timeouts.xml file https://www.dropbox.com/s/wr26kqkxtt4mcy5/Timeouts.xml?dl=0 into the following folder C:\ProgramData\Pranas.NET\SqlBak\Service\ and restart SQLBackupAndFTP (SQL Server Backup) Windows Service.

It should resolve the issue.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

The backup worked Nov 28-30 but failed on Dec 1. I noticed that your instructions state to copy the file to the folder C:\ProgramData\Pranas.NET\SqlBak\Service but there is no folder of that name on the computer. I copied the file to C:\ProgramData\Pranas.NET\SQLBackupAndFTP\Service and restarted the service. I have uploaded a copy of the log to developers again.

Hi Harlund_Industries_L,

Thank you for the details.

According to the issue you have we can give you the following recommendations:

  1. Extract vacuum.zip archive and run vacuum.bat from behalf of administrator
  2. Save Timeouts.xml file into C:\ProgramData\Pranas.NET\SqlBak\Service\ folder

The files can be downloaded by the following link https://www.dropbox.com/sh/ocbi69imyfexc3a/AAAWscguqoAJuekPPAg64yXEa?dl=0

Sorry for the inconvenience.

There is no C:\ProgramData\Pranas.NET\SqlBak\Service\ folder so I have been copying the timeouts.xml file to the existing c:\ProgramData\Pranas.NET\SQLBackupAndFTP\Service\ folder. Is that okay?

Yes, it’s OK. Thank you.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

The issue continues to occur. I have uploaded the advanced log again
