No event logs for backups?

Hi,

Does v11 (I’m running 11.1.13) no longer log backup status to the Application Log?

V10 did this and we’ve used a script to check the event log to see if the backup succeeded. If that’s no longer available, is there any other log that can be checked to see the result of the backup?

Interestingly, I can see that an event is logged when a backup starts, just not when it finishes…

Thank you for the request, we’ll add this information in the next release.

Thank you. Do you have any idea when this might be? If it’s not long then I’ll just wait, otherwise I may need to find another way of proactively checking backups - perhaps by querying SQL Server or SQL log entries.

I’m now trying 11.1.14. This release doesn’t seem to log in the Application log when the backup starts (as 11.1.13 did) and also not when it finishes. Is there a log somewhere else that can be parsed?
