Can't connect to SQL Server on different PC (Same network)

Just downloaded the latest update (v11). Trying to connect to a remote computer on the same network, but the test is failing and settings won’t save.

test failed
Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

Able to connect fine to the other PC’s SQL server using SMSS

Edit: I should add I’m using SQL Server authentication. The sql server name is servervm\liveddm creds: sa\MyPassword

Sorry, but currently remote backup feature isn’t released in SQLBackupAndFTP version 11. [Correction: as of Feb 2018 remote backups are included again]

Please install SQLbackupAndFTP version 11 on the same computer or server where SQL Server is installed.

can I get old version somewhere, why wasn’t this noted before upgrade.???

It was noted before at https://sqlbackupandftp.com/blog/sqlbackupandftp-11-differences
You can download SQLBackupAndFTP version 10 by the following link https://sqlbackupandftp.com/download/SqlBakSetupAzure.exe

Hello,

Remote backup is rolling out automatically in SQLBackupAndFTP version 11.4.2. If you don’t have it updated yet, just wait a day or two. To do a remote backup, on “Connect” window select “Remote SQL Server” in “Server Type” field.
