11.2 - windows service won't start - not valid win32

Just installed on a 2016 Windows Server and can’t run as tells me the SQLBackupAndFTP service has stopped.

If I try to start it via service console I get the error 193:Oxc1

Event logs says its not a valid Win32 application?

I too am having this same problem.
OS windows Server 2008 R2 Stnd
Version 6.1

SQLBackupAndFTP 10.0.18 Lifetime

Error within application when trying to Save job. “Job Scheduling error: Can’t start SqlBackupAndFtp Service: Cannot start service SqlBackupAndFtp Service on computer ‘.’.: The service cannot be started, either because it is disabled or because it has no enabled devices associated with it”

Error when restarting service. “Windows could not start the SqlBAckupAndFtp Service service on Local Computer Error 193: 0xc1”

Error in Event Viewer: “The SqlBackupAndFtp Service service failed to start due to the following error:
SqlBackupAndFtp Service is not a valid Win32 application.”

Application was working up to 11/30/2017 with no problems. Tried uninstall/reinstall twice, same result.

Thank you for the details. Could you please upgrade SQLBackupAndFTP to the latest version and check if it resolves the issue. The latest version is 11.4.1 and it can be downloaded at https://sqlbackupandftp.com/download
